robert doisneeau

ROBERT DOISNEAU

robert Doisneau -14 April 1912 – 1 April 1994 was a french photographer in the 1930s. renowned for his 1950 image Le baiser de l'hôtel de ville (Kiss by the Town Hall), a photograph of a couple kissing in the busy streets of paris.Doisneau was known for his modest, playful, and ironic images of amusing juxtapositions, mingling social classes, and eccentrics in contemporary Paris streets and cafes.

Doisneau worked at Rapho until the outbreak of world war 2, whereupon he was drafted into the French army as both a soldier and photographer. He was in the army until 1940 and from then until the end of the war in 1945 used his draughtsmanship, lettering artistry, and engraving skills to forge passports and identification papers for thefrench resistance. Some of Doisneau's most memorable photographs were taken after the war. He returned to freelance photography and sold photographs to life and other international magazines.

The reason why i have picked Robert doisneau for my unit 1 love and hate because in his photographs  clearly shows the relationships between people and the emotion. His work relates to my topic love and hate because his photographs show the emotion either love or hate this is don by two people physically touching each ohther like the first image two people are kissing each other and the last image shows its feeling by body gesture this is done by the girl smiling and the body stairring at her clearly shows they like each other as the girl is allowing the man to stair at him.

David Hockney

David Hockney was born in Bradford, England, on 9 July 1937. through out his career, Hockney made prints, portraits of friends, and stage design for the royal court theatre, glyndebourne, la scala and the metropolitan opera in the new york.

while working on a painting of a los Angele's living room, he took a series of photos for his own reference, and fixing them together so he could paint from the image. when he finished, however, he reorganised the collage as an art from unto itself, and began to create more.

In the 1970s, Hockney began working in photography, creating photo collages he called joiners. He continued to create and exhibit art, and in 2011 he was voted the most influenced British artist in the 20th century.

The reason why i have chosen David Hockney is because i find his technique taking pictures and putting it in to a whole very interesting and simple.

love and hate brainstorm

first we had to create a power point and list inanmate object that we love and hate. After that we had to create 1 slide of images for things that we love and another slide of images that we hate.

after making two list of thing i hate and thing i love we then searched images for each word.
and copy pasted the images into two category love ad hate.
i wanted to create myself  a starting point and use my idea of love and hate to help me guide my way through the unit we are currently starting.
this relates to the theme love and hate because it outlines the things we love a hate.
